I am a Film Photographer. My images are taken using traditional photographic methods. I love Straight Photography. This refers to photography that attempts to depict a scene as realistically and objectively as possible, without the use of manipulation. Equipment I use: Canon film cameras and lenses. Calumet C1 8x10 large format camera, Intrepid 8x10 large format camera, Graflex 4x5 large format camera, Mamyia 6x7 medium format camera , Minox, Brownies and several other vintage cameras. Film I use: Pancro, Rollei, Tmax, Ektachrome, Fuji, Cinestill, Ilford and several other fun films when available. Printing method: Some Black and white are done in my darkroom, larger prints are done in a professional lab. Color optical prints are done in professional lab. I have very limited Cibachromes also done in a professional lab. All the above are 100% analog. I also have Chromira prints which are scanned and printed. My home is Sitka, Alaska located on Baranof Island in the Gulf of Alaska. My husband Randy and I are so crazy lucky to live in the Tongass National Forest. It’s the largest temperate Rainforest in the world. We also are surrounded by the mighty Pacific. Living here you need to be ready to go at a moments notice that’s why our fridge always has more film then food! I have only ever shot film. If you have never used film try it out, get yourself a used camera and some film and discover the magic! Thanks for viewing my images. Janet Berlin |
